Galaxy Painting (16+)

Pontefract Library, Shoemarket, Pontefract, WF8 1BD

Face to Face Recovery College Courses

Fully Booked

Using space as our theme you will produce a piece of art using foil paper, and acrylic paints on black card ending up with your own galaxy painting!

No experience needed, as full instructions and resources are provided.

This is a chance to relax, connect with other like-minded people in a calm and safe environment.

Art can increase our positive emotions, and lesson depressive symptoms. It can also reduce stress and anxiety. Helping us create works of beauty, problem solve, and refresh our bodies and our minds.

Please ensure you let the College know at the time of booking if you have any dexterity issues or other concerns around using smaller pieces of equipment. Our crafting sessions often use equipment that may be more challenging to use with dexterity issues (such as pencils, pastels, sewing equipment or paintbrushes) and if informed in advance, we are able to make our sessions fully accessible for those with additional crafting support needs.

Please note that some of the materials used in these sessions may not be able to be taken on to ward environments.
