Face to Face Recovery College Courses
This 6 week course is a beginners crafting group aimed to get you started using items found around your own home. Crafting can relieve stress and tension in our everyday life, this session will be a chance to meet new people and learn new skills whilst improving our wellbeing. The crafts you learn during the session you can recreate with your friends and family to share your new skills with others. Each week you will learn a different craft using different materials and have a go at something new.
You can join this course at stage after the start date, each week is a stand alone session.
There will be a break for October half term week commencing 28/10/2024
Please ensure you let the College know at the time of booking if you have any dexterity issues or other concerns around using smaller pieces of equipment. Our crafting sessions often use equipment that may be more challenging to use with dexterity issues (such as pencils, pastels, sewing equipment or paintbrushes) and if informed in advance, we are able to make our sessions fully accessible for those with additional crafting support needs.
Please note – some of the materials used in these sessions may not be able to be taken on to ward environments.
Please note – the activities are the same for each 6 week course.
