Self-advocacy & confidence building workshop for young people with learning disabilities (DC ONLY)

Connections, 15a Westgate, Wakefield, West Yorkshire, WF1 1JZ

The purpose of the course is for young people with learning difficulties to find out about the Speak Out Go Out advocacy group in Wakefield, practice skills in speaking up for themselves, learn about what services are there to support them, and enjoy a session of creative activities.

During the session, we aim to empower young people with learning difficulties to feel more confident in asking for what they need, manage their emotions, and find friendship within Speak Out Go Out and find support in their community.

Please remember to bring a packed lunch and drinks with you for this 4-hour group that runs over lunchtime.
